community matters - tea and tiles

Some medieval tiles were uncovered beneath the floor of our church during the course of a recent renovation project.  A great excuse to show them off and invite the village in for tea and cakes!  Over seventy people visited and here are just two of the happy tea drinkers.

Dear Sheddists,

our church opens its doors every Saturday morning for two hours to host 'Place of Welcome'.  Anyone who wants to pop in for a free cuppa, a chat and a toasted tea-cake is very welcome.

It's not just for more senior citizens either - many children come too. We believe in being family together and seeing the different generations mix, play and learn from each other is a real joy!

Precious times indeed.
