eco-festival.18

'faithful friends to the community - caring for creation'

Once more we're blessed with an Indian Summer for our third church Eco-Festival.  It proves an enormous success with a constant stream of visitors enjoying the music, food, craft and entertainment on offer.

The delicious aromas from the pizza oven are matched by those of the burger bar, manned by an enthusiastic team of scouts and their leaders. There's amazing music, everything from folk, jazz and sea-shanties to bell-ringing.

Wood is turned, hand-made violins are exhibited and organisations including the  RSPB and the Friends of Sutton Park have an opportunity to show-case their fantastic work in our restored church grounds.  Just round the corner and past the miniature railway is the church Eco-Garden, tended lovingly by younger members of the congregation and their leaders.

Inside, it's just as busy.  The youngsters are up-cycling in the church hall whilst quilters, dyers, spinners and weavers display their work in the main body of the church.

What a fantastic day!
