swirling fighters

reap death

 

us and them

 

children link

arms

force apart

hands

early evening walk

coming home

the last rays

 there is a peace

when the last rays 

of a sinking sun

hit

stone

and we walk

in the yard-bones

beside 

a black-cowled monk

remembering
