christmas comforts - part 1

What a wonderful time we have!

Fifty people and hall full of life's rich memories.  We see the twinkle in an octogenarian's eyes as she dances in her mind as a young girl across the floor, the intimate touch of two hands joining while nails are painted soft colours.

We celebrate a meal cooked in love and coated in rich gravy.

We sing carols - one solitary tear on the face of a lady caught in the late after sun, still mourning her long dead husband. We share stories of cancer, death and the searing pain of loss.

But we rise together!  We play games, we watch films, we dance in the flow of a Tai Chi moment.  This is Christmas ... these are our comforts.
