cotswold stone

History etched soft in warm stones and crooked roofs. Fortunes made and fortunes lost. Artists and aristocrats, farmers and families, merchants and mendicants. It's all to be found here.

wood

and the rain came
in soft shards
through leaves
as we walked

they waited patiently for us
the trees
talking
through roots
discarded and fallen

the green moss
glowing
on twisted bark
tracing the rippled
surface

death and life
cycle
permanence
impermanence
the floor
of this magical
living
wood
