we apologize for the inconvenience ... back in two weeks

past jars and cycled
worlds
plastered across the silenced
echoes that spill
alone
 down
streets of blackened spice

resigned
wheeled
spun

our loaded memories
our hands clawed and hung
on the locks and bars
of an empty tattooed space

it's closed
all
closed

and we apologize for the inconvenience

show of hands

This week at Photosocial we looked at hands.

The session was really energizing but I came away feeling slightly disappointed with my photos. I'm glad I didn't delete them.  On closer examination the beauty of tone and form slowly emerged to create this series of abstractions.

What do you think?

holiday at home - part one

The build-up to Christmas is a very special time in our church. On Saturday we welcomed a group of young carers, their families and supporters on Saturday. Now it's the turn of our more mature friends!

The 'Holiday at Home' starts with some much deserved pampering in the form of hand massages and nail-bars. Other activities on offer include exercise classes, cake-icing and dominoes.
