the garden of dreams

These dream-like images were created using multi-exposure.

a transitioning

There's something deeply moving and reflective about Autumn, the transition between a season of rich, colourful growth and a season of cold, bleak darkness. It has a unique sense of calm and a poignant beauty all of its own.

The fruits of our church eco-garden have long since gone. But now the beautiful sub-structure on which it is built is revealed in all its resplendent glory.

our eco-festival

Our annual Church Eco-festival is opened this year by Alan Gardener, star of Channel 4's, 'The Autistic Gardener'.  Heavily tattooed with a shocking pink haircut he's not a man easily missed in the crowd.  His easy going demeanor belies the personal and health issues he grapples with every day. Alan is a fantastic ambassador for the National Autistic Society and a great believer in growing community. We're so grateful to have him on board for the Festival.

Elsewhere, the plant, eco-product and food stalls jostle merrily with the bee-man, the Friends of Sutton Park and Eco Sutton. Music is provided by a fine choir and a barbershop quartet.

'faithful friends to the community - caring for creation'

Once more we're blessed with an Indian Summer for our third church Eco-Festival.  It proves an enormous success with a constant stream of visitors enjoying the music, food, craft and entertainment on offer.

The delicious aromas from the pizza oven are matched by those of the burger bar, manned by an enthusiastic team of scouts and their leaders. There's amazing music, everything from folk, jazz and sea-shanties to bell-ringing.

Wood is turned, hand-made violins are exhibited and organisations including the  RSPB and the Friends of Sutton Park have an opportunity to show-case their fantastic work in our restored church grounds.  Just round the corner and past the miniature railway is the church Eco-Garden, tended lovingly by younger members of the congregation and their leaders.

Inside, it's just as busy.  The youngsters are up-cycling in the church hall whilst quilters, dyers, spinners and weavers display their work in the main body of the church.

What a fantastic day!
