All's going well, then Frank Lampard sends on his substitutes, Jack Marriott and Martyn Wagham. With just nine minutes of normal time left Marriott scores with a deflected strike and the pressure is on.
It gets worse when seven minutes injury time is added, largely due to the game-ending injury to our centre-half, Tyrone Mings. The clock seems suspended but at last the referee blows for full-time.
We've done it ... we are premiership!!!
The second half begins with a flurry of bookings, but then up pops the marvellous John McGinn, Villa's player of the season to bag the second goal. A shot from the tireless El Ghazi is deflected by a defender and loops up in the air. It really should have been claimed by the Derby keeper, Kelle Roos, but instead McGinn heads it in.
Two goals ahead and the Villa fans go wild!! Cue a massed rendition of ...
'We've got McGinn,
super John McGinn.
Just don't think you understand.
He's Dean Smith's man,
he's better Than Zidane,
we've got super John McGinn!'
