journey no. 12 - mystery ride

hard-core asphalt
past
street-lights and swaying motorway overheads
we ate
in the road
deep gulps of rape-streaked
mustard

johny2bad
racing for the border
helmeted and hidden
in the well
of a frozen lift-shaft
always, always watching his back

as
we
disappear
yet
again
together
into
one
more
multi-strafed
techno-color
dream

Accidents will happen

I've just collected some more photos from the developers, but unfortunately this time something's happened during the processing.  Leaked chemicals perhaps, or maybe the printing machinery was not quite aligned properly.

At first I was tempted to discard the lot, but the more I looked the more I found beauty in the imperfections. Mis-cut, streaky and water-marked they may be, but interesting nonetheless!

What do you think …..

The joys of vinyl ...

Dear Sheddists,

my dear wife pushed one of our local rags in my direction the other day, pointing me to an article about a proper record store just down the road from where we live.

I ventured out, spent a happy half hour sorting through racks and crates and came back home with a wide grin on my face, clutching a bag containing four long deleted Tomita LPs and 'Tea for the Tillerman' by Cat Stevens.  Not bad for £17.50!

It may come as little surprise that the dusty recesses of the House of electrofried have been revisited.  My old vinyl collection has been brought in from the cold and I'm loving it.

Whisper it not, but I've back to the store today … the fruits of my visit having been smuggled safely past mrs electrofried, the West Wing now rings out the merry sounds of The Pogues and Joe Strummer, live in London.  What magic!!

best regards,

electrofried(mr)
