Dear Sheddists,
even the graffiti is a cut-above-the-rest in Copenhagen!
We take a leisurely walk through the student-inhabited Latin Quarter and given it's well before mid-day it comes as little surprise no-one's around!
Plenty of time to take a few random snap-shots then.

Dear Sheddists,
we've booked into the Hotel Alexandra for the duration of our visit to Copenhagen and it's an absolute delight!
Located on Hans Christian Andersens Boulevard, its owners are The Preben Hansen Foundation, a charity established in 1967 by the hotel's founder. Unlike the ubiquitous international chains plying their trade in cities across the world, The Alexandra is a hotel with a true difference. It's dedicated to Danish Modern design of the 50's and 60's and boasts a collection to rival any outside the museum circuit.
We're staying in the Hans J. Wegner room, which celebrates the work of the legendary, 'Master of the Chair'. During his lifetime Hans designed over five hundred of them, including the famous 'Mama Bear' chair, two superb original examples of which are to be found in our room.
We'll let the photos do the talking - for the most part they were taken in the hotel reception area and in the Wegner room itself.
Best regards,

Dear Sheddists,
it's up, up and away for a short city-break in Copenhagen. We'll be walking the length of the longest pedestrianised shopping street in Europe, visiting museums, palace buildings and botanical gardens and taking a trip to the notorious 'free-town' of Christiana.
Frustratingly, our flight out is delayed. Even more concerning is the last-minute appearance on the tarmac of a man in overalls, carrying a set of step-ladders and what appears to be a tin of gunge. He duly applies the contents of the tin to a section of the fuselage then scuttles back toward the airport building.
Gulp!
Much to our relief the flight is uneventful ... all but for the genius in charge of nibbles who's decided to put on today's menu a complimentary bag of what's described on the packet as 'Luxurious Wing Nuts'!
Do they know something we don't?
Best regards,
