a kitchen filled with love

Do you sometimes despair at the perpetual mess and clutter that is family life?  Despair not, for sometimes amongst that mess and clutter can be found something infinitely deeper and beautiful.

This is a kitchen filled with love.  A place where meals and conversation are shared, a place where drawings and craft and stories come to life, a place where a family comes together.

nina retires

Nina retired yesterday. She's been a support worker for our son and his friend for fifteen years, part of  a fantastic team that have helped these two men achieve independent living despite their disabilities.

Throughout her time with them she has been an indomitable bundle of energy, always thinking up new ways to enhance their lives. We remember the holidays, the fishing trips, the visits to the health-club, but most of all we remember the love she has shared in abundance.

Happy retirement, Nina - you're a true star!

aston villa 2 v leicester city 1 - love you arthur

We came, we saw. Villa scored twice, perhaps three times. But the real star wasn't with us. He was shining in the firmament. We stood as one on the sixth minute, fans united for you.

Rest in peace, Arthur Labingo-Hughes. We love you. And for all those who feel unloved, we love you too. You are not alone.
